About Burn Ban Louisiana
Burn Ban Louisiana (burnbanlouisiana.com) is an independent, free informational service that publishes the current outdoor burn ban status for all 64 Louisiana parishes, updated every day from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry dataset.
What we do
- Republish the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry parish burn ban dataset daily, with a dedicated page for every parish.
- Show each parish's status alongside its neighbours, with the date the data was last checked, on every page.
- Track status-change history over time and offer free email alerts when a parish's status changes.
- Explain the rules — what burn bans are and Louisiana outdoor burning rules.
What we are not
We are not a government agency and have no affiliation with Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, Office of Forestry, or any parish. Burn ban orders are issued and lifted by parish presidents, sometimes faster than statewide data updates. Always verify with your parish fire marshal, sheriff's office, or parish office before burning. See our full disclaimer.
Publisher
Burn Ban Louisiana is published by Breckenridge CoLab LLC, which also operates Burn Ban Texas. We build daily-updated public-data sites that answer one question clearly.
